Paper-I qualifying nature का है, लेकिन इसे केवल formal qualifying paper समझना सही नहीं होगा। इसके normalized marks के आधार पर ही candidates को category-wise Paper-II के लिए shortlist किया जाता है।

Minimum Qualifying Marks और Cut Off में अंतर
Minimum qualifying marks को SSC JE Cut Off नहीं समझना चाहिए।
Minimum Qualifying Marks वह न्यूनतम percentage है जिसे candidate को qualify करने के लिए प्राप्त करना होता है।
वहीं Cut Off actual competition, vacancies, category और candidates के performance के आधार पर इससे अलग हो सकती है।
Paper-I में minimum qualifying marks प्राप्त करना जरूरी है, लेकिन Paper-II के लिए shortlisting normalized Paper-I marks और category-wise merit के आधार पर होती है।
