RRB JE Exam Pattern 2026 Overview
RRB JE recruitment में written examination दो stages—CBT-I और CBT-II—में होता है। CBT-I में 100 questions के लिए 90 minutes और CBT-II में 150 questions के लिए 120 minutes दिए जाते हैं। CBT-I screening nature का है और उसके normalized marks से CBT-II के लिए candidates shortlist किए जाते हैं।

CBT questions English, Hindi और 13 regional Indian languages में उपलब्ध होते हैं। Candidate application के समय examination medium चुनता है और question चुनी गई language के साथ English में भी display होता है।
RRB JE CBT 1 2026 Exam Pattern
RRB JE CBT-I सभी notified posts के लिए common है। इसमें कुल 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions पूछे जाते हैं और maximum marks 100 हैं।
CBT-I के लिए सामान्य candidates को 90 minutes दिए जाते हैं। Scribe use करने के लिए eligible candidates के लिए duration 120 minutes है।

Official notification के अनुसार section-wise distribution indicative है और actual question paper में कुछ variation हो सकता है।
CBT-I को RRB ने screening nature का बताया है। इसके normalized score का उपयोग CBT-II के लिए candidates को shortlist करने में किया जाता है। इसका मतलब CBT-I को CBT-II के साथ जोड़कर एक combined 250-marks merit paper मानना सही नहीं होगा।
Mathematics और General Science दोनों से 30-30 questions, General Intelligence & Reasoning से 25 questions और General Awareness से 15 questions का distribution दिया गया है।
RRB JE CBT 2 Exam Pattern 2026
CBT-II RRB JE examination का दूसरा Computer Based Test है। CBT-I के normalized marks के आधार पर candidates को इस stage के लिए shortlist किया जाता है।
Official rule के अनुसार सामान्य रूप से CBT-II के लिए candidates की संख्या concerned RRB की community-wise notified vacancies के 15 गुना तक shortlist की जाती है। हालांकि Railways आवश्यकता के अनुसार इस limit को increase या decrease कर सकता है।
CBT-II में कुल 150 questions और 150 marks होते हैं। सामान्य duration 120 minutes है, जबकि scribe facility के लिए eligible candidates को 160 minutes मिलते हैं।

CBT-II में Technical Abilities के 100 questions होते हैं, यानी इस stage का सबसे बड़ा हिस्सा technical section है। Technical questions candidate की qualification से mapped Exam Group के अनुसार पूछे जाते हैं। Notification में Civil & Allied, Electrical & Allied, Electronics & Allied और Mechanical & Allied Engineering जैसे Exam Groups दिए गए हैं।

CBT-I के normalized marks का उपयोग CBT-II के लिए shortlisting में होता है। दूसरी ओर Document Verification के लिए candidates को CBT-II के marks और merit के आधार पर shortlist किया जाता है।
RRB JE Marking Scheme & Negative Marking
RRB JE CBT-I और CBT-II दोनों में negative marking है।
हर गलत answer के लिए उस question को allotted marks का 1/3 हिस्सा deduct किया जाता है। Official tables में CBT-I के 100 questions के 100 marks और CBT-II के 150 questions के 150 marks दिए गए हैं।
Example for understanding: यदि किसी question के लिए 1 mark निर्धारित है और answer गलत है, तो 1/3 mark deduct होगा।

RRB JE Qualifying Marks 2026
RRB ने CBT के लिए category-wise minimum qualifying percentage भी निर्धारित किया है।

RRB JE Shortlisting and Normalisation
CBT-I multiple sessions में आयोजित होने पर candidates के raw marks को normalized marks में convert किया जा सकता है।
RRB के अनुसार CBT-I का normalized score केवल CBT-II के लिए candidates की shortlisting में इस्तेमाल होता है।
यदि CBT समान syllabus के लिए multiple sessions में आयोजित होता है, तो अलग sessions के raw marks को normalized marks में convert किया जाता है। Multi-session CBT में यही normalized marks आगे merit calculation में उपयोग किए जाते हैं।
CBT-II के बाद Document Verification के लिए candidates को CBT-II के marks और merit के आधार पर shortlist किया जाता है। सामान्य रूप से DV के लिए shortlisted candidates की संख्या notified vacancies के बराबर रखी जाती है।
