RRB JE के लिए सामान्य age group 18 से 33 वर्ष रखा गया है और age की गणना 01 जनवरी 2027 के अनुसार होगी।
RRB JE के लिए कौन आवेदन कर सकता है?
RRB JE भर्ती के लिए वही candidate आवेदन करे जो अपने चुने हुए post की सभी जरूरी eligibility conditions पूरी करता हो।
मुख्य रूप से उम्मीदवार को:
- संबंधित Engineering discipline की prescribed qualification रखनी चाहिए।
- Qualification recognized University/Institute से होनी चाहिए।
- Required qualification 13 सितंबर 2026 तक पूरी होनी चाहिए।
- निर्धारित age limit में होना चाहिए।
- Nationality condition पूरी करनी चाहिए।

RRB JE Educational Qualification 2026
RRB JE की educational qualification सभी posts के लिए एक जैसी नहीं है। Notification के Annexure-A में हर Junior Engineer post के सामने उसकी accepted Engineering discipline और medical standard अलग-अलग दिया गया है।
इसलिए candidate को केवल यह देखकर आवेदन नहीं करना चाहिए कि उसके पास Engineering Diploma है। उसकी branch उस specific JE post के लिए accepted होनी चाहिए।
RRB JE Branch-wise Qualification
RRB ने technical qualifications को मुख्य रूप से चार engineering groups में map किया है:

RRB JE Civil Qualification
Civil Engineering से संबंधित कई JE posts के लिए notification में मुख्य रूप से:
- 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering, या
- 3-year B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, या
- Civil Engineering के basic stream के accepted sub-stream combination
को मान्य qualification के रूप में शामिल किया गया है। Qualification recognized University/Institute से होनी चाहिए।
Civil background के candidates के लिए JE Civil, JE Bridge, JE P.Way, JE Works और Civil Design/Drawing जैसे अलग-अलग posts हो सकते हैं।
लेकिन सभी Civil posts का medical standard समान नहीं है। इसलिए qualification match होने के बाद candidate को post-wise medical eligibility भी देखनी चाहिए।
RRB JE Electrical Qualification
Electrical side के कुछ Junior Engineer posts के लिए notification में three-year Diploma की accepted disciplines में Mechanical, Electrical और Electronics Engineering या उनके prescribed combinations शामिल किए गए हैं।
Electrical Department के अंतर्गत JE Electrical, Workshop, Design Drawing & Estimation, EMU, General Services, TRD और TRS जैसी अलग-अलग categories दी गई हैं।
इसलिए Electrical candidate को भी exact post eligibility Annexure-A से match करनी चाहिए।
RRB JE Mechanical Qualification
Mechanical related posts में accepted qualification post के अनुसार बदल सकती है। Notification में विभिन्न posts के लिए निम्न disciplines शामिल हैं:

क्या B.E./B.Tech Candidate RRB JE के लिए Eligible है?
हां, लेकिन Engineering discipline match होना जरूरी है।
Official Annexure-A के note में बताया गया है कि B.E./B.Tech जैसी higher qualification उसी discipline में three-year Diploma के बदले स्वीकार की जा सकती है।
उदाहरण के लिए यदि किसी post के लिए Civil Engineering Diploma मांगा गया है और candidate के पास Civil Engineering में B.Tech है, तो higher qualification स्वीकार की जा सकती है।
लेकिन अलग branch की B.Tech degree होने मात्र से candidate हर RRB JE post के लिए eligible नहीं हो जाता।
क्या Final Year Candidate RRB JE 2026 के लिए Eligible है?
यदि candidate की prescribed qualification का final result 13 सितंबर 2026 तक घोषित नहीं हुआ है, तो उसे आवेदन नहीं करना चाहिए।
RRB notification के अनुसार candidate के पास required educational/technical/professional qualification closing date तक होनी चाहिए। Result awaited candidates eligible नहीं हैं।
यदि Diploma/Degree certificate बाद में जारी हुआ हो लेकिन final qualifying result closing date से पहले घोषित हो चुका था, तो candidate को Document Verification के समय result declaration date साबित करने के लिए marksheet या Board/University का संबंधित certificate देना पड़ सकता है।
RRB JE Age Limit 2026
RRB JE 2026 के लिए सामान्य age limit: 18 से 33 वर्ष है। Age की गणना 01 जनवरी 2027 को आधार मानकर की जाएगी।

Reserved और special categories को prescribed conditions के अनुसार upper age limit में relaxation मिलता है।

यदि candidate एक से अधिक grounds पर age relaxation के लिए eligible है, तो सभी relaxations को जोड़कर नहीं दिया जाएगा। Candidate को applicable relaxations में से maximum benefit मिलेगा।
EWS candidates के लिए अलग सामान्य age relaxation notification में नहीं दिया गया है।
RRB JE Nationality / Citizenship
RRB JE recruitment के लिए candidate निम्न eligible categories में से किसी एक में होना चाहिए:
- भारत का नागरिक,
- Nepal का citizen,
- Bhutan का subject,
- या notification में बताए गए देशों से भारत में permanently settle होने के उद्देश्य से आए eligible person of Indian origin.
इनमें Nepal, Bhutan और निर्धारित person of Indian origin categories के candidates के लिए Government of India द्वारा जारी Certificate of Eligibility जरूरी हो सकता है।
जिस candidate के लिए Certificate of Eligibility आवश्यक है, उसे examination में provisional admission मिल सकता है, लेकिन उसे Document Verification के समय certificate प्रस्तुत करना होगा।
RRB JE Medical Eligibility
RRB JE में Medical Fitness एक महत्वपूर्ण eligibility condition है।
हर JE post के सामने Annexure-A में अलग medical standard निर्धारित किया गया है। विभिन्न posts में A-3, B-1, B-2 और C-1 जैसे medical standards देखने को मिलते हैं।
Notification में सामान्य vision standards में A-3, B-1 और C-1 के लिए अलग-अलग vision requirements दी गई हैं।

Detailed Railway Medical Fitness Indian Railway Medical Manual के अनुसार लागू होगी।
इसलिए candidate को application में post preference देने से पहले अपनी eyesight और संबंधित post के medical standard को जरूर check करना चाहिए।
LASIK Surgery वाले Candidate की Eligibility
A-3 medical standard वाले posts के लिए LASIK surgery या refractory error correct करने वाली अन्य surgical procedure करा चुके candidates eligible नहीं हैं।
B-1 medical standard में LASIK candidates कुछ prescribed medical conditions पूरी करने पर eligible हो सकते हैं।
यदि candidate चुने हुए post का prescribed medical standard पास नहीं करता है, तो Railway उसे उस post पर empanel नहीं करेगा और alternate appointment भी नहीं दी जाएगी।
RRB JE PwBD Eligibility
PwBD candidate की eligibility प्रत्येक JE post के अनुसार अलग हो सकती है।
Annexure-A में हर post के सामने यह बताया गया है कि वह:
- Visual Impairment,
- Hearing Impairment,
- Locomotor Disability,
- Other Disability,
- Multiple Disability
की कौन-सी categories के लिए suitable है।
PwBD candidate regular vacancy के लिए भी आवेदन कर सकता है, भले उस particular post पर अलग PwBD reserved vacancy न हो, लेकिन post उसकी disability category के लिए suitable होना चाहिए।
इसलिए PwBD candidate को application से पहले Annexure-A में अपनी disability sub-category और post suitability जरूर verify करनी चाहिए।
OBC-NCL और EWS Candidates के जरूरी Eligibility Rules
OBC-NCL
OBC reservation का benefit लेने के लिए candidate:
- Central OBC List में होना चाहिए।
- Non-Creamy Layer category में होना चाहिए।
- Prescribed OBC-NCL certificate रखना चाहिए।
CEN 04/2026 के लिए OBC-NCL certificate 01 अप्रैल 2026 या उसके बाद और application closing date से बाद का नहीं होना चाहिए।
केवल State OBC List में नाम होने से Central Railway recruitment में OBC reservation नहीं मिलेगा।
EWS
EWS reservation के लिए notification में prescribed income और asset conditions पूरी करनी होंगी।
Candidate को closing date तक valid Income and Asset Certificate रखना होगा और Document Verification में उसे प्रस्तुत करना होगा।

Document Verification के समय shortlisted candidates को original eligibility documents और उनकी self-attested photocopies प्रस्तुत करनी होंगी।
