Staff Selection Commission ने Junior Engineer Examination, 2026 का notification 2 September 2026 को जारी किया था। 2026 recruitment में Junior Engineer posts के साथ India Meteorological Department (IMD) में Scientific Assistant की recruitment भी शामिल की गई है।

SSC JE क्या है?
SSC JE का full form Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer है।
SSC द्वारा आयोजित इस examination के माध्यम से Government of India के विभिन्न organisations/offices में Junior Engineer पदों पर भर्ती की जाती है।
Junior Engineer का काम उसकी engineering discipline और जिस organisation में नियुक्ति होती है, उसके अनुसार अलग हो सकता है। इसमें technical supervision, engineering work, maintenance, project-related activities, measurement और documentation जैसे कार्य शामिल हो सकते हैं।

SSC JE Vacancy
SSC JE की vacancy हर recruitment cycle में अलग हो सकती है। इसका कारण अलग-अलग Government departments और organisations की manpower requirements हैं।
SSC आमतौर पर notification में tentative vacancy बताता है। बाद में post-wise और category-wise vacancy में बदलाव या additional vacancy की जानकारी अलग notice के माध्यम से दी जा सकती है।

SSC JE 2026 notification में 1,748 tentative vacancies बताई गई थीं। यह पूरी examination की tentative vacancy है और इसे final vacancy नहीं माना जाना चाहिए।

SSC JE Eligibility
SSC JE की eligibility सभी posts के लिए समान नहीं होती। Educational qualification, experience और age limit post तथा organisation के अनुसार बदल सकते हैं।
इसलिए केवल “SSC JE के लिए Diploma चाहिए” या “B.Tech जरूरी है” जैसी सामान्य जानकारी के आधार पर eligibility तय नहीं करनी चाहिए।

Educational Qualification की Cut-off Date
Candidate की required educational qualification निर्धारित cut-off date तक पूरी होनी चाहिए।
यदि किसी post के लिए degree, diploma या experience आवश्यक है, तो candidate को notification में दी गई date और conditions के अनुसार अपनी eligibility verify करनी चाहिए।

SSC JE Age Limit
SSC JE में maximum age limit सभी posts के लिए समान नहीं होती।
2026 recruitment में post के अनुसार maximum age limit 30 वर्ष या 32 वर्ष तक थी। Age की calculation के लिए 1 August 2026 को crucial date रखा गया था।

SSC JE Selection Process
SSC JE selection process को आसान भाषा में इस तरह समझ सकते हैं:
Application → Paper-I → Paper-II → Final Merit/Allocation → Document Verification
Paper-I में qualifying requirement पूरी करने वाले candidates को Paper-II के लिए shortlist किया जाता है।

- उसका engineering subject applicable है या नहीं
- post-specific conditions पूरी होती हैं या नहीं
